Jaime Maestro

Creative Director

Jaime Maestro is a Spanish animator and film director with over 15 years of 3D experience on animated featured films. He has worked on several projects for Disney, Nickelodeon, Google and Ubisoft, with outstanding figures such as Jan Pinkava, Sergio Pablos, Jimmy Hayward, Rodrigo Blaas, Pepe Valencia, Lou Romano, Shannon Tindle or Patrick Osborne.

In 2003, he supervised the 3D Goya award winning short Mr. Rag at Pasozebra. In addition, he was the technical supervisor on Alma, an animated short film directed by Rodrigo Blaas.

In 2010, he founded PrimerFrame Animation School, where he directed eight animated shorts: FriendSheep, The Smoke Seller, Neighbors, The Thief of Faces, Orbits, Gea, Katakroken and OA, which led him to obtaina Goya Award nomination in 2013 and an Annecy Award nomination in 2012.

He received the Goya Award in 2013 for The Smoke Seller and the Annecy Crystal Award for Friendsheep, in 2012. He also won a Goya nomination for Friendsheep (2012), Neighbours (2013) and Orbits (2014).  

In September 2014, he left PrimerFrame to direct the 3D and animation departments at Barreira Art + Design School of Valencia. That same year, along with Nathalie Martinez, he founded Blue Dream Studios Spain.


Nathalie Martínez


Born in Bobigny (France), Nathalie moved to Valencia (Spain) in 1980. Graduated with a Master’s degree of Audiovisual Communication and PhD studies on Cinema and Education, she works on television and cinema since 1999. With consolidated experience in this area since 2003, she produced her own feature films, working also as executive producer and line producer.

In 2005, she founded the independent film company Somnia Cinema (aka Somnia Ars) with Maxi Valero. The most prominent productions of Somnia Cinema are the tv movie “Cuatro Estaciones” and the long features “Escuchando a Gabriel” and “El hombre de las mariposas”.

Since 2013, she developed her career in Animation production in several short films, commercials and animation tv movies, as well as animated feature films.

In 2014, Nathalie founded Blue Dream Studios Spain along with Jaime Maestro, a CGI animation studio focused on animated movies. Along with other projects in different stages of development, the studio is currently in production of “Animal Crackers”, featuring the voices of John Krasinsky, Emily Blunt, Ian McKellen, Danny de Vito and Sylvester Stallone.
