Jaime Maestro is a Spanish animator and film director with over 15 years of 3D experience on animated featured films. He has worked on several projects for Disney, Nickelodeon, Google and Ubisoft, with outstanding figures such as Jan Pinkava, Sergio Pablos, Jimmy Hayward, Rodrigo Blaas, Pepe Valencia, Lou Romano, Shannon Tindle or Patrick Osborne.
In 2003, he supervised the 3D Goya award winning short Mr. Rag at Pasozebra. In addition, he was the technical supervisor on Alma, an animated short film directed by Rodrigo Blaas.
In 2010, he founded PrimerFrame Animation School, where he directed eight animated shorts: FriendSheep, The Smoke Seller, Neighbors, The Thief of Faces, Orbits, Gea, Katakroken and OA, which led him to obtaina Goya Award nomination in 2013 and an Annecy Award nomination in 2012.
He received the Goya Award in 2013 for The Smoke Seller and the Annecy Crystal Award for Friendsheep, in 2012. He also won a Goya nomination for Friendsheep (2012), Neighbours (2013) and Orbits (2014).
In September 2014, he left PrimerFrame to direct the 3D and animation departments at Barreira Art + Design School of Valencia. That same year, along with Nathalie Martinez, he founded Blue Dream Studios Spain.
